The original digifob, available since 2008, sold over 50,000 pieces across Europe and was available in 15 different languages. The majority of units were sold to drivers wanting to stay in control of their Drivers Hours. Many are still used by Transport Managers or Authorities to make quick checks of Driver Cards and in turn driver compliance. The new digifob is a remarkable upgrade from the original. The screen uses the latest OLED technology to deliver a crisp view of information with high contrast, designed for low light conditions. The digifob gains a Lithium battery which can be charged by any PC / Laptop or standard USB charger. The same PC connection allows you to read a Driver Card directly from the digifob to your PC for the purposes of archiving or further analysis. The introduction of two buttons on the front side allows users to scroll through summarised data more readily.
The whole point of the digifob is to help drivers to avoid infringements by presenting summarised data and infringements which in turn aids the learning process. For others digifob is a perfect litmus test for Driver Cards and helps with Driver training. The new digifob incorporates suggested improvements collected from advocates in the last 4 years and takes the digifob concept to a whole new level hopefully helping many more drivers to get to grips with EU Drivers Hours Law. The new digifob will be available from July 2013.
